It's Her Story to Tell...

There once was a girl named Ahna....

My daughter Ahna is something else. She is a 9 year old self-proclaimed "diva" who in my mind is not a diva at all. ;) She loves to read, she loves to draw, she's learning to be herself, and I am loving every moment of her growing up. I originally made this as a cover for her sketch book, but when she saw it - she decided that it needed to hang on her wall instead.  (Again, I LOVE her.)

If you couldn't tell **snicker** this is covered in mist and paint. The wings were altered using sand, mist, and paint, topped with crackle medium. The Donna Downey branches are misted, embossed, and misted again. The chipboard letters were painted with mist and water to create a marble effect, and after adding a bit of glam to her hair... yep, I was finished. :)

Some close-ups...

In other news, today marks the opening of STASH TO TREASURE

Head on over there this month for an amazing class with Alyssa McGrew... here is a little sneaky of what you could be making...

Have fun!

Like the glam to her hair, the corrugated cardboard background, and the misting with water on the chipboard alphas. Very creative.
