EEP! So when I first got this kit, I was a little stumped because I have created with some of these papers before, and I tend to look at a paper and SEE it some particular way. I know that sounds silly, but it is definitely a part of my creative process. I look at each individual paper, and see parts of everything, and I almost always know immediately how I want to use them... but I had to overcome that because I couldn't possibly create projects that looked similar to how I used the papers before.
"WHIMSY"
BUT I LOVE how these turned out. Gosh, Krissy just kills it when she puts together these kits. The papers that I hadn't used before totally made all things new, the embellishments perfected it all, and I just think this kit, named WHIMSY is so amazing.
"In All Things"
A little bit of this, and a little bit of that, I thought that I would do something a bit different this time, and have the only photo on the layout placed completely off to the side.
"These Little Things"
Yep. My paper is upside down, lol. Another part of my creative process is to flip the papers over and over, and elements that I know that I want to use in order to create exactly the color palette transition that I want... it wasn't until after I glued it all down that I realized the paper totally had writing on it, and that it was facing another direction. :) I love it.
and finally, I have a new challenge up at the forum this month that is asking Swirly members to totally think outside the box with their kits, or what is leftover from their kits - and this is my project for that this month. Using some leftover resin pieces, one flower, and an old ring base that I had here at home...
"My Bling Ring"
