Prima & Faber-Castell

Is there anything better than two companies combining their amazing products? Today we have a joint venture by Prima Marketing and Faber-Castell! Not only do our products work perfectly together, but we know that you will feel completely inspired when you see what can be done with them!

Let's hope I can get your creative brilliance flowing with a couple of the projects that I created... AND if you leave a comment here on my page, by midnight on May 18th, I will be sending a little RAK along to someone randomly selected... let's just say it will have a bit of both of these companies' yummy products included! I will announce the winner on the 19th :))
"Blowing Kisses"

The Faber Castell products are perfect for adding incredible details to projects! Here is used their Gold Gelato stick, highlighting the molding paste effect that I used in the background. I then used two Big Brush Pens, in Orange Glaze and Light Yellow Glase to highlight some of the paste details as well. The Light Yellow Glaze Big Brush Pen was also used to color in the Shabby Chic Treasure elements. As an added oomph! I wanted to color in some strands of my daughter's hair, and I used the Pastel Pencils/Blending Stump for that as well as to color some of the flower petals across the page.

The Prima papers just screamed whimsy to me here, and the flowers and butterflies, in combination with the artsy elements from Faber-Castell... **sigh** what a fun way to create!!
Faber Castell Supplies Used:
Mix & Match Mixed Media Sampler "Neutral" - Gold gelato stick
Mix & Match Essentail Took Kit - Blending Stump
Mix & Match Stamper's Big Brush Pens - Light Yellow Glaze, Orange Glaze,
Mix & Match PITT Pastel Pencils - blue/green

Prima Supplies Used:
Sun Kiss paper - Lemon Ginger #844240, Bliss #844196, Nectar Fields #844202, Shady Nook #844219
Alphabet Stickers #554361
Shabby Chic Treasures #890728
Sun Kiss Charme Roses #555689
Lady Godivas Nougat #557034
Sun Kiss Gracie Vine #555719
Sun Kiss Vinetta #555665

"Princesa"
Faber Castell's Gelato Sticks in Guava, Bubble Gum, and Metallic Silver, completely transformed my background in this project! I had already used a bit of crackle paste for distressing, and then I rubbed and blended in the three gelato colors in various spots. I also highlighted my masking effect, coloring in some of the impressions with the two pinkish shades, and then highlighting their edges with the Metallic Gold. I then used the Watercolor Pencils to create a fading colored look on my Prima Cotton tape, as well as to color in the sash on my daughter's dress.

Supplies Used:

Faber Castell:
Gelato sticks: Guava, Bubble Gum, Metallic Silver
Mix & Match Watercolor Pencils "Red"
Pitt Artist Pen in black

Prima:
Fairy Belle Paper: La Spa #950125, Marcelle #950132
Flowers: Tattered Treasures "Wheat" #558192, Tasha Caramel #556952, Allegra Adelle #556495
Genie Stones "Vintage Mix" #556655
Art Tile Songbird #554583
Cotton Tape #550813
Prima and Faber Castell have also included a chance to win some of their products. Hop around to the other talented design team blogs and leave a comment on each of their blogs. Once you are done, go  back to the PRIMA and Faber Castell blogs and let them know your favorite technique. They will pick a random winner on the Prima blog May 30th! Faber Castell will also have a prize so make sure you go to their blog for details on how to win!

Heidi,

I loved how you combined the use of both companies products, but I particularly liked how you used the FB product to highlight your daughters hair in the first layout. That was unique and added to the whimsy element you mentioned in the Prima paper. I LOVE these products and hope I win some!

Thanks for participating and giving us a chance to learn new ways to use these products and the opportunity to win some of them.
