Creating has always been a part of my life. I tend to see the world around me in a different way than a lot of others and I have this desire to put it all down on paper, showing my loves around me what it is that I see. Now, I have done this for what seems like forever... but a couple of years ago, after picking up my first Somerset Memories magazine, I was drawn to the work of an amazing artist.
Nathalie Kalbach's work draws me in and has inspired my creative path in ways that I never thought possible. It has always been my wish to breathe life into the pages and projects that I am creating, and everytime that I see something she has created, it pushes me to explore my own creativity just a little bit more.
Over this past year, Nathalie's and my paths crossed and I have been thrilled to get to know her on a more personal basis. (And she is just as amazing as her work is!) So where am I going with all this, you ask? Well, just under a week ago, I found the most amazing package leaning against my door step... straight from Germany. It was filled with delicious papers designed by Nathalie, not to be found (yet!) in the US anywhere! I could not have been more excited, and honored, to have the chance to work with these. :)
Here is what I created last night... in a frenzy of molding paint, mod podge, and glimmer mist!
This was so much fun, I haven't felt so FREE to create whatever it was that I wanted to create, in a long time. These papers were exactly what this girl needed... Thank you so much Nathalie. (For everything, my cheerleader!)
Now I only have shown you the papers that I used for THIS layout, I am working on a couple more projects with the other goodies she sent me.... so you will just have to wait to see all those a bit later. :)
