Summer-licious

My girls are now home for summer vacation, and the warm weather has me itching to create with summer palettes! MMmmmm, bring on those sunshiney hues, and water colors. Beachy flavor is what I am craving right now, and I am loving it. Today, my layout titled "Bring on the Summer", is featured on the Couture Cardstock blog along with a few tips about summer scrapping!


This layout is a bit different for me, isn't it? Quite clean-lined if I do say so myself.... and buttons? What?! I don't use many of those, but I thought it was a nice effect to ink the clear buttons slightly and then top them with some glossy accents and stickles.

Every now and then you gotta shake it up... (notice though, that I couldn't do without the paint and glimmer mist somewhere on the layout, ha!)

See that glass of lemonade? I've got a glass in my hand, children squealing in the backyard, and a lawn chair calling my name!
